General information about Belgian railroad crossings

There are 5 different types of railroad crossings in Belgium.
These 5 types are called category's.

category 1: level crossing with 2 full barriers or 4 half barriers across the full width of the road, with red lights that flash when a train is approaching. Between the lights is a large "andreas cross". When closing the bells will ring until the barriers are fully down.

category 2: Level crossing witch 2 half barriers each placed at 1 side of the road
